Illuvium: Fight for ETH – Bigger than Pokemon on the Blockchain

All About Illuvium:

Illuvium is an open-world RPG adventure game built on the Ethereum Blockchain. You are the survivor of a transport vessel in an intergalactic space fleet, investigating a distress beacon. In game, players will journey across a vast landscape on their quest to hunt and capture godlike creatures called Illuvials. After landing on an alien planet, players discover the cause of a legendary cataclysm that shattered the world ages ago.

According to the co-creator Kieran Warwick, Illuvium will closely resemble Pokemon, with an “auto battle” feature. Players will collect the “Illuvials” which they will hunt, train and battle. The Illuvials will also be collectible NFT’s which can be traded for real world currencies. The game will also have play to earn features, with its own token ILV.

Players will collect their Illuvials on what are called “Shards,” sleek crystal slivers that hold the essence of the creature inside–comparable to poke balls in the Pokemon series. The strategy and lore elements in the game will also be somewhat similar, with certain types of shards being used to capture different types of Illuvials. It’s easy to see a future where the next trend is to compete with your friends and flaunt rare, shiny, cosmic, and holo Illuvial types.

With crypto play-to-earn gaming still in its infancy, there are currently no AAA gaming titles with cinematic quality 3D graphics in an immersive open-world RPG built on blockchain with DeFi. Illuvium aims to create such a title, merging gaming and cryptocurrency in a unique synergy that holds allure for crypto enthusiasts, serious gamers, and your general tech-savvy population. By having gorgeous, in-game functional, and rare NFTs, plus what the creators call “high replay value,” Illuvium may keep the public interested in the $ILV protocol longer, ensuring stability of the underlying NFT assets and the token pool.

The game is designed to be accessible to everyone and yet, there will be advanced modes and pay to win elements. One mode in the game will actually allow players to compete in arena battles for Ethereum, making this a huge play-to-earn opportunity for dedicated gamers.

The Illuvium Team:

The Illuvium team is backed by an impressive combination of AAA game developers who have worked on major titles such as Bioshock, as well as those immersed in the world of crypto and blockchain.

Illuvium Tokenomics:

The Illuvium token (ILV) has a limited circulation of only 10,000,000 tokens. This limited supply has allowed the token to, along with the enormous hype for the game, skyrocket the price above $460.

30% of the Illuvial token will be reserved for staking rewards, with only 12% being reserved for the developers. Stakers will receive regular payouts according to the DeFi protocol. They will also have the ability to vote on the continued amendments to the protocol.

Those who play, collect, and trade Illuvials will enjoy a new era of NFTs, thanks to integration with Immutable X. This innovation provides zero gas fees for peer-to-peer trading with instant transactions, all while you securely maintain custody of your assets.

Launch Details and How to Buy, Stake, and Play:

The original launch date for Illuvium was scheduled for Q4 2021, but as with most of these NFT games, the project has been delayed. There is talk of an open Beta version, in which every asset you collect in the game you will still get to keep. It looks like the beta version may come out in early 2022, with the full game being released sometime later in 2022. The mobile launch is expected to happen after the PC release in 2022, with plans for console versions after that.

In the meantime, you can buy ILV token and stake it. There are two staking options, simply as ILV with 66.6% APR or the IlV/ETH LP with 500%+ APR. In order to stake, go to and visit the staking center.

To buy ILV token, you will need a wallet such as Metamask, and to connect to a decentralized exchange such as Sushi Swap, or Uniswap. The contract address for ILV can be found at
