What is Gala Games?
Gala Games is a blockchain powered NFT games platform. Their aim is to build blockchain games that put fun first, so you don’t necessarily think of them as blockchain games. The blockchain should be “invisible,” putting the gaming experience first.
They also aim to empower players to take full control of the NFT assets used to play the games, as well as to vote and decide the future of games on the platform. Every key item won in the games is owned by you, and can be traded for on the blockchain. There is also what they call the “node” system, wherein players can operate a node on their home computers, which allows them to vote on the future roadmap of the platform.
Their token GALA first launched in 2020, and its recent strength is supported by the impressive list of new releases on the horizon.
There are a host of games either currently in Beta, or listed as “in development.” These include Town Star, a town simulation game similar to Sims or Animal Crossing, Mirandus, a fantasy RPG, a couple battle games known as Spider Tank and Fortified, as well as the ambitious space fleet game Echoes of Empire which is still early in its development.
The Team Behind Gala Games
Gala Games has partnered with Flare, the chain integration network that works with the Ethereum virtual machine. Their venture capitalists include Mazer Gaming, the esports and entertainment brand founded back in 2014. They have partnered with Bitrue, the crypto asset management platform, as well as Polygon.
Gala games also cut a promotional deal with the privacy-focused web browser Brave.
Gala Games Tokenomics
The GALA token can be earned in three ways. First, operating a node which helps secure the ecosystem. Second, by purchasing the GALA token on the exchanges listed above. And third, actually playing the P2E games.
The GALA token is currently ranked #232 on Coin Market Cap. It has a market cap over $630M with a circulating supply of 6.98B.
Players earn GALA through the games or operating their node. Earnings go to what is known as their “Treasure Chest.” These earnings can then be spent to mint new NFTs for the games, or exchange your GALA tokens on the marketplace.
How to Participate:
Currently, the best way to get involved with the Gala Games project is to get your node license. This is done by visiting the website and ordering the node license, which can be paid for in GALA token. The node software is compatible with Windows, MacOS, as well as Ubuntu.
